Experience the real Saimaa with a local guide
I am Leo Lipasti, a young but experienced fisherman and wilderness guide who grew up on Saimaa. Nature, fishing and crabbing have been part of my life since I was a little boy, and my years on the waters of Saimaa have taught me to know the area’s nature, fishing spots and seasons exceptionally well.
I want to offer customers more than just an excursion – a genuine experience of Finnish lake nature. The trips allow you to experience the peace, pure nature and wilderness atmosphere of Lake Saimaa in the safe company of a local guide.
The excursions are always planned according to the wishes of the customers, the season and the weather conditions. Beginners, active fishermen, families and international travellers are all welcome.

Norppa-Majat Pasi
I’m Pasi – the host of Norppa-Majat. For Norppa-Majat excursions, you can join me on a spearfishing trip in autumn, a SUP trip in summer and, if necessary, if our guide Leo is not available, also boat trips on the Saimaa in summer.

Burbot trap fishing trip
Duration 1-1,5 hours
Burbot fishing is mainly concentrated in mid-winter, when burbots moves from deep waters to shallower spawning grounds. Join us to see the burbot traps. Trip includes campfire coffee break. Availability February.
Spearfishing trip
Duration 1,5-2 hours

Fishing Trip to Lake Saimaa
Duration 2-3 hours
Boat trip on Lake Saimaa by motorboat. We will troll and stop at a small island to enjoy campfire coffee and light refreshments.
Grayfish trip to Lake Saimaa
Duration 1 hour
Motorboat trip to Lake Saimaa to check some Grayfish traps. Max 4 person. Available 22.7-15.9. - 15.9.
Sightseeing trip to Lake Saimaa
Duration 3-4 h
Motorboat trip to Lake Saimaa. We visit Kongonsaari (island) where we enjoy great views and see some history (2nd World war). We make an other stop on our way back in a small island to enjoy bon-fire, some small snacks and refreshments. And of course, we’ll keep our eyes open to spot the Saimaa ringed seal.
Nature trail trip
Duration 2 hours
If you would like to have a guided nature trail (3 km) trip, please let us know. Guided tour includes bon-fire coffee and small snack.
